Why is the Covid Delta variant spreading so fast?

The Delta variant of Covid, described by the World Health Organization as a worrying variant, is the variant that is putting the world to sleep today. A study by the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention in China has found the answer to why the Delta variety has become such a highly contagious coronavirus. The researchers found that the Delta variant was able to produce 1260 times more viral load in patients than the original coronavirus.

The study also found that people infected with the Delta virus developed symptoms within four days of exposure to the virus. This was on average seven days in true coronavirus victims.

Viral load refers to the amount of virus particles found in the blood of an infected person. This affects the severity of the disease and the likelihood of the virus spreading. Researchers also say that cats need to be included in any precautionary measures against the virus. The study adds that the delta variant multiplies faster in the patient’s body than the normal virus.

This high viral load and rapid multiplication of the virus complicates the infection and exacerbates the symptoms. The researchers also say that the delta variant can survive by cutting off antibodies to the two genetic variants.

The Covid Delta variant was behind many cases of Covid catch even after vaccination. However, the study added that although those who have been fully vaccinated can catch the virus, they are less likely to develop the disease and need to be hospitalized. The CDC also found that those who took both doses were less likely to spread the virus.
